Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Central Comes Up Short

Aberdeen Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 47-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Aberdeen Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pierre T.F. Riggs, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Aberdeen Central has already played their next game (against Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pierre T.F. Riggs will take on O'Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Gorman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Pierre T.F. Riggs likes a good challenge.
