Soccer Recap: El Cajon Valley Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, El Cajon Valley was not quite Granite Hills's equal in the second half on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Granite Hills Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 912th, while the Eagles are ranked 438th).

This is the second loss in a row for El Cajon Valley and nudges their season record down to 5-9-5. As for Granite Hills, the win got them back to even at 7-7-2.

El Cajon Valley will take on Grossmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grossmont will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something El Cajon Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Granite Hills, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Bostonia Global on the 25th.
