Baseball Game Preview: Kiski Area Cavaliers vs. Knoch Knights

The Kiski Area Cavaliers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on the Knoch Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kiski Area is leaving town to face Knoch after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Kiski Area lost 12-2 to Valley on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Dimitri Spagnola made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was John Deluca, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Knoch and Burrell have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. Everything went Knoch's way against Burrell as Knoch made off with an 8-1 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bucs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kiski Area beat Knoch 11-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Kiski Area have another victory up their sleeve, or will Knoch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
