Volleyball Recap: Canandaigua Academy Triumphs

Canandaigua Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Batavia Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Gray Wolves in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

Canandaigua Academy was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17.

Addie Eckert paced Canandaigua Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Eckert got some help from Kadyn Chapman and her 19 assists. Maya Wiitanen controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Canandaigua Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-6-2. As for Batavia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Canandaigua Academy will take on Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Batavia, they will welcome Brockport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
