Basketball Recap: Gibson Southern Beats Washington for Their Fourth Straight Victory

After losing to Washington the last time they met, Gibson Southern decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gibson Southern Titans secured a 48-44 W over the Washington Hatchets on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Gibson Southern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brodey Lamb out in front who went 7 for 12 en route to 20 points and six boards. Lamb's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Cam Novotny was another key player, going 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points.

Gibson Southern's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Gibson Southern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-49 loss against Southridge on the 6th. As for Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-53 win against Vincennes Lincoln on the 6th.
