Baseball Recap: Norwich RVT Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Norwich RVT ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Grasso Tech Eagles 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since April 21st.

The team relied heavily on John Mastrokis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Norwich RVT: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Cole Arnio was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Norwich RVT is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Grasso Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
