Soccer Recap: Rockbridge County Comes Up Short

Rockbridge County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against the Staunton Storm, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Rockbridge County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Staunton are ranked 49th).

Rockbridge County's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Staunton, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Rockbridge County will square off against Broadway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Staunton, they will take on Wilson Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
