If T.R. Miller was riding high fresh off their 59-14 takedown of Pike Liberal Arts last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The T.R. Miller Tigers took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Daphne Trojans on Friday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

T.R. Miller's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadin Curry, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Meg Fountain, who earned eight points.

Leading Daphne to victory were Fredayshia Goodwin and Abagail Johnson. Goodwin went 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points and three steals, while Johnson put up eight points and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in blocks (two). Dasia Matt was another key player, putting up seven points.

T.R. Miller's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-1. As for Daphne, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

T.R. Miller wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-25 win against Monroe County on the 6th. As for Daphne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-16 victory against Robertsdale on the 7th.
