Softball Recap: Woodcrest Christian Has No Trouble Against Loma Linda Academy

Woodcrest Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Loma Linda Academy on Wednesday. The Royals were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Roadrunners. The Royals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Roadrunners, too.

Annie Renna was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Reagan Hamada was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Woodcrest Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Woodcrest Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Loma Linda Academy, their loss ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-4.

As of now, neither Woodcrest Christian nor the Roadrunners have any future games scheduled.
