Basketball Recap: Abigail Cielsak Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Calvary Chapel Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Master's Academy Patriots by a score of 43-30 on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-17 back in January.

Calvary Chapel Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Cielsak, who posted 11 points. Ava Dorn was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the defeat, Master's Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Phoenix Henderson put up ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Henderson has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.

Calvary Chapel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Master's Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Calvary Chapel Academy has already played their next game (against Morningside Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Master's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
