Baseball Recap: Middle Tennessee Monarchs Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Louis HomeSchool P, Middle Tennessee Monarchs was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mansfield Homeschool Knights by a score of 7-4. This was payback for Middle Tennessee Monarchs, who suffered an 8-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Middle Tennessee Monarchs let Dawson Burgess and Wyatt Harrison run wild. Burgess went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Harrison went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Harrison has become a key player for Middle Tennessee Monarchs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 13-18 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Keyston, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Middle Tennessee Monarchs' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-18. As for Mansfield Homeschool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 28-9-2 record this season.
