Southwind strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their game with ease, bagging a 53-0 win over the Holly Springs Hawks. Give the Jaguars' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

It was another big night for Kelvin Perkins, who threw for 231 yards and six TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. A healthy portion of Perkins' aerial production (125 yards to be exact) went to Jontae Alexander, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Southwind's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Holly Springs, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Southwind has already played their next matchup, a 48-42 win against Briarcrest Christian on the 25th. As for Holly Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 28-22 loss against Byhalia on the 26th.
