Volleyball Recap: Savannah Arts Academy Comes Up Short

Savannah Arts Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Walker Wolverines by a score of 2-1.

Charlotte Browne paced Savannah Arts Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Browne got some help from Audrey Heyel and her five assists. Heyel also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ellie Ayala, each putting up two.

Walker found their leader in sophomore Sofia Moore, who had 18 digs and two assists.

Savannah Arts Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-22 record this season. As for Walker, their win bumped their record up to 26-16.

Savannah Arts Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Gordon Lee on the 27th. As for Walker, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Davidson Fine Arts on the 27th.
