Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bernards). Their pitchers stepped up to hand North Star Academy a 22-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mountaineers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Bernards' victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12. As for North Star Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Bernards wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Watchung Hills Regional on the 10th. As for North Star Academy, they will be playing at home against Golda Och Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
