San Marin waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks by a score of 5-1. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Tailed Hawks, too.
Taryn Ellinthorpe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Leah Cronin was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Fong, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
San Marin's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tamalpais, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
