Softball Game Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. West Marion Trojans

For the second straight game, Wesson will face off against West Marion. The Cobras will square off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wesson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so West Marion's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Wesson heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Saturday. They fell just short of West Marion by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Cobras couldn't push the score so high this time.

The victory (which was West Marion's fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wesson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-7.
