Baseball Recap: Northeast Guilford Takes a Loss

Northeast Guilford lost against Dudley on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rams fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caiden McNeil was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Northeast Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Dudley, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Northeast Guilford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockingham County at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Dudley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Bison at the right time seeing as the Bison are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
