Volleyball Recap: Gray's Creek Bears vs. Hoggard Vikings
Gray's Creek lost against Hoggard back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bears fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Gray's Creek took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-14, 15-12.
Taylor Baggett paced Gray's Creek's offense, picking up 25 kills. Baggett got some help from Ellivia Feliciano and her 32 assists. Feliciano was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Leading Hoggard to victory were Lydia Maughan and Morgan Williams. Maughan had 15 digs and two aces, while Williams had nine digs and four aces. Those nine digs gave Williams a new career-high.
