Volleyball Recap: TAYLOR FINNE's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Incline over South Tahoe

After flying high against Debbie Smith CTE Academy last Friday, Incline came back down to earth. The Highlanders lost 3-0 to the South Tahoe Vikings on Wednesday. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Incline was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Incline's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TAYLOR FINNE, who had eight digs and three blocks. FINNE has been hot, having also posted 16 or more assists the last seven times she's played. LILI MORRISON was another key player, getting 20 digs and two aces.

Incline's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for South Tahoe, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Incline is set to face off against their familiar foe Sparks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, South Tahoe will take on rival Wooster at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
