Baseball Recap: Mt. St. Michael Academy Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mt. St. Michael Academy's offense. They lost 10-0 to the St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings on Tuesday. The Mountaineers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Mt. St. Michael Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. St. Michael Academy will take on Monsignor Farrell at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, they will welcome St. Peter's at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 1.5, the Eagles 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
