Basketball Recap: Triad Math and Science Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against John Yowell Academy on Tuesday, Triad Math and Science Academy came back down to earth. The Bengals had to suffer through an 85-48 loss at the hands of the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix. The Bengals have struggled against the Phoenix recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Triad Math and Science Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jarrett Greene, who posted 14 points, and Kyl-El James, who scored seven points and eight assists. Another player making a difference was Kye Mattews, who had nine points.

Triad Math and Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Triad Math and Science Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southern Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on December 9. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they will take on Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
