Basketball Recap: Weleetka Beats Hulbert for Their Seventh Straight Win

Weleetka had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Hulbert Riders out 38-35.

Despite the loss, Hulbert still got an impressive performance from Sadie Chambers, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Maddy Potts, who scored eight points and nine rebounds.

Weleetka's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Hulbert, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Weleetka has already played their next matchup (against Schulter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hulbert didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-26 victory against Summit Christian Academy on the 28th.
