Basketball Recap: Washburn Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Grand last Tuesday, Washburn came back down to earth. The Washburn Beavers fell 63-55 to the Southern Aroostook Warriors on Thursday. The loss was the Beavers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Washburn fell to 2-1. As for Southern Aroostook, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Washburn will be home for the holidays to greet Hodgdon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hodgdon's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Washburn's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Southern Aroostook, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ashland at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
