Niagara-Wheatfield came into Saturday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 36-29 victory over The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers on Saturday. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, The Park School of Buffalo still got an impressive performance from Alana Wilson, who posted five points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in steals. Jada Briggs was another key player, putting up no points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Niagara-Wheatfield's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for The Park School of Buffalo, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niagara-Wheatfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lockport at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
