Basketball Recap: Prattville Takes a Loss

Prattville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 87-55 loss at the hands of the Pike Road Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Patriots are ranked 126th).

When it comes to explaining why Prattville lost, don't look at Xavier Dunn. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 16 en route to 23 points and three steals. Dunn has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Lewis, who posted 13 points.

Prattville's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Pike Road, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Prattville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-41 victory against Autaugaville on the 12th. As for Pike Road, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-65 defeat against Brewbaker Tech on the 12th.
