McConnellsburg has gone a perfect 6-0 against North Star recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Spartans will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

McConnellsburg proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Berlin Brothersvalley, sneaking past 2-1. McConnellsburg haven't had any issues with Berlin Brothersvalley recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Hoyt Glenn and Gavin DeShong scored both of McConnellsburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 54 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Star challenged Northern Bedford County on Wednesday. The Cougars won by a goal and slipped past the Panthers 2-1. That's two games straight that North Star have won by just one goal.

North Star's win bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for McConnellsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0.

Everything went McConnellsburg's way against North Star when the teams last played back in August, as McConnellsburg made off with a 7-0 win. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
