Baseball Recap: San Rafael Takes a Loss

San Rafael and San Marin pushed the score to 13-6 the last time they played San Marin, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

San Rafael saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cruz Wexler, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Dylan Thorpe was another, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

San Rafael's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for San Marin, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

While San Rafael had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
