Softball Recap: Leslie County Comes Up Short

Leslie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-3 to the Wahama White Falcons.

Peyton Turner and Jaelynn Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result: Turner scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Johnson went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Leslie County's record now sits at 2-7. As for Wahama, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Leslie County will take on Madison Southern at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leslie County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Madison Southern has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Wahama, they will challenge Harrison County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Thorobreds/Fillies will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the White Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
