After a string of three wins, Trinity Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 71-49 to the Pine Ridge Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 70-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Pine Ridge was led to victory by Kadin Pierce-Flores and Henry Robinson Jr. Pierce-Flores almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, nine assists, and ten steals, while Robinson Jr dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. Robinson Jr's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Anthony Tedesco was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Trinity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Pine Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Trinity Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 62-47 defeat against Central Florida Christian Academy on the 11th. As for Pine Ridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Deltona at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Pine Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Deltona likes a good challenge.
