While Centerpoint's victory against Kirby wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Centerpoint Knights narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Kirby Trojans 12-11. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one run.

Centerpoint now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerpoint is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Caddo Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kirby, they will take on Spring Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirby is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
