Volleyball Recap: Westlake Academy Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Westlake Academy proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blacksmiths have posted since August 23rd.

Westlake Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-27, 25-8, 15-8.

Westlake Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westlake Academy will host Founders Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, they will square off against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
