Soccer Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale Comes Up Short

If St. Benedict at Auburndale was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of First Assembly Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Harding Academy Lions by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. St. Benedict at Auburndale were not able to make up for their defeat to Harding Academy from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Harding Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Benedict at Auburndale will challenge Lakeland Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding Academy, they will square off against St. George's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harding Academy will need to watch out since St. George's have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
