Baseball Recap: Western Finds Home Field Redemption Against Coral Springs Charter

There's no place like home for Western, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Coral Springs Charter Panthers 11-1 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Mason McGeehan looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Western let Miguel Tapia and Taisuky Rodriguez run wild. Tapia scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Rodriguez scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorge Falagan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
