The Ferguson Falcons will square off against the Miami Country Day Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Ferguson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.
Ferguson gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Hialeah Gardens with a sharp 14-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Lily Berardinelli made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Ferguson got a massive performance out of Amaya Santamaria, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Andreaneliz Rivera was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Ferguson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Miami Country Day suffered their closest loss since March 19, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Marathon by a score of 5-3. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Ferguson, Miami Country Day also got a great game from a two-way player: Collins Ames. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Ames has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 1-for-3.
Miami Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Ferguson, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.
Miami Country Day's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ferguson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .419. It's a different story for Miami Country Day, though, as they've only averaged .236. Will they be able to contain Ferguson's hitters?
