Baseball Recap: Loogootee Takes a Loss

Loogootee lost against Vincennes Lincoln back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Alices, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered against the Alices since April 10, 2018.

Loogootee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Phillips, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Loogootee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Loogootee has already played their next game, a 13-3 victory against Wood Memorial on the 15th. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against Richland County on the 12th.
