Crockett fell victim to Woodville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Woodville Eagles by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Crockett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Akeelah Whitting, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Charlyne Spanihel also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Woodville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Coming up, Crockett is taking a road trip to take on Hull-Daisetta at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crockett is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Woodville, they will welcome Pollok Central at 6:00 p.m. on March 14th.
