Baseball Recap: Plain Dealing Victorious

Plain Dealing lost to Ringgold back in April of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Lions came out on top against the Redskins by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Brandon Arnold was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Plain Dealing: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise. Colton Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Plain Dealing was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Plain Dealing's record now sits at 8-10-1. As for Ringgold, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
