Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Manvel Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Tuesday.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for Manvel, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sam Rayburn is set to take on their familiar foe Dawson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Manvel will square off against rival Alvin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
