Basketball Recap: Ripon Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Ripon extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Marcus Madoski. The Ripon Indians were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over the Hughson Huskies on Wednesday thanks in part to Madoski, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Ripon's points.

Nathan Curless was another key player, putting up three points and six boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Gehrke, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Karam Kang, who posted 11 points.

Ripon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Hughson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Ripon will square off against Orestimba at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hughson has already played their next match (against Ripon Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
