Basketball Recap: Mingus Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Mingus had won five straight home games and Savannah Tobias did her part to make it six on Friday. The Mingus Marauders blew past the Lee Williams Volunteers, posting a 63-35 victory thanks in part to Tobias, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 45 games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Alice Kinsey, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (eight).

Mingus' win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Lee Williams, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mingus will take on Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mingus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season. As for Lee Williams, they will square off against Bradshaw Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Williams is facing Bradshaw Mountain at the right time seeing as Bradshaw Mountain is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
