Ware County extended their winning streak to eight on Wednesday, bumping them up to 23-3. They walked away with a 65-56 victory over the Benedictine Cadets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 55-49 victory two weeks ago.

As for Benedictine, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Ware County is ranked 59th).

Despite the loss, Benedictine saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kyree Richards posted 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of CaRon Hall, who earned ten points.

Ware County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-44 win against Wayne County on the 13th. As for Benedictine, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-55 defeat against Warner Robins on the 13th.
