Basketball Recap: Northeast Metro RVT Knights vs. Academy of Notre Dame Lancers
The Northeast Metro RVT Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Academy of Notre Dame 82-47 at home. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for Northeast Metro RVT this season.
Northeast Metro RVT's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Murphy, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Murphy scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Zullo, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals.
The win (which was Northeast Metro RVT's third in a row) raised their record to 6-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Academy of Notre Dame, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.
Northeast Metro RVT will take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Academy of Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Minuteman at 5:30 p.m.
