Soccer Game Preview: Miller vs. Carroll

Miller hasn't had much luck against Carroll recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Miller Buccaneers will venture away from home to face off against the Carroll Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Miller has given up an average of 10.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Miller is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to Corpus Christi Moody.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Carroll was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Carroll has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. Miller's loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Miller suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Carroll in their previous matchup back in February. Can Miller avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
