Paetow is 7-1 against Morton Ranch since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Paetow Panthers will host the Morton Ranch Mavericks at 11:30 a.m. Morton Ranch took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Paetow, who comes in off a win.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Paetow beat Mayde Creek 60-55. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Rams are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Jordan.

Paetow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Morton Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Paetow won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, slipping by Morton Ranch 63-62. Will Paetow repeat their success, or does Morton Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
