Football Game Preview: Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers vs. Agawam Brownies

The Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Agawam Brownies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Putnam Vo-Tech has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Agawam will come in with three straight wins.

On Friday, Putnam Vo-Tech took a blow against Amherst-Pelham Regional, falling 48-18.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Agawam). They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over Pittsfield. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Brownies just coasted through the last quarter.

Agawam's win came from a few key players Putnam Vo-Tech will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Domenick Pisano, who rushed for 35 yards and one score, and also threw for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Joe Duffy was another key player, gaining 112 total yards.

Putnam Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Agawam, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Putnam Vo-Tech took a serious blow against Agawam in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 47-0. Can the Beavers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
