Football Recap: Sheldon Piles Up the Points Against Fairfield

Sheldon never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Fairfield Falcons 31-0. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 27 points or more this season.

Sheldon found their leader in sophomore Saniah Wiley, who threw for 188 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 42 yards and one touchdown. Jayla Woodard made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Sheldon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Fairfield to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. The team can thank Zoe McAfee for the heroic effort on defense: she. Sheldon hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.5 or higher in three consecutive games.

Sheldon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. McAfee led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Woodard got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
