Softball Recap: Chesapeake's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Chesapeake was the 5-1 winner over South River when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Chesapeake fell just short of South River by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chesapeake fell to 2-1. As for South River, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Chesapeake is set to square off against their familiar foe Northeast at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South River will take on rival Southern at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
