Basketball Game Preview: Coral Gables Cavaliers vs. Bishop Verot Vikings

Having just played yesterday, the Coral Gables Cavaliers will jump right back in to play the Bishop Verot Vikings at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Coral Gables' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Coral Gables will head into Friday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 50-point drubbing they dealt Mariner on Friday. Coral Gables took their matchup with ease, bagging a 75-25 victory over Mariner. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Tritons are ranked 691st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop Verot ended up a good deal behind North Broward Prep on Friday and lost 60-41.

Coral Gables' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bishop Verot, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
