Baseball Recap: Mercer Island Comes Up Short

Mercer Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Inglemoor Vikings, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in March.

Mercer Island saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Nguyen, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Mercer Island's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Inglemoor, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Mercer Island has already played their next match, a 6-5 victory against Bellevue on the 9th. As for Inglemoor, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against North Creek on the 9th.
