Volleyball Recap: Stephanie Lozano Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Socorro

There's no place like home for Franklin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on the Socorro Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Franklin was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephanie Lozano, who had seven digs and two aces. Lozano is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Smith, who had 16 assists and seven digs.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 23-15. As for Socorro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-19 record this season.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Eastlake on the 17th. As for Socorro, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Pebble Hills on the 17th.
